Senior Clinical Psychologist (Essex)
Hi, I’m Jules. I joined the team on November 2022. I started working in the NHS in 2009 and worked as an inpatient nursing assistant and then as a community support worker before training to become a clinical psychologist. My first passion within mental health was early intervention in psychosis, where I learned the importance of building trust and working holistically in a person-centred way. I have since also become passionate about working in a trauma-informed way at all levels within health services. I am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Systemic and Family Therapy, CBT for psychosis, Family Interventions for Psychosis, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Eye-Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. As part of the Here For You service, I will be involved in supporting people on a 1:1 basis, and supporting teams/services in various ways. Compassion, honesty, and empowerment are some of the values that influence me and my work. In my spare time, I like to see friends and family, go for long walks along the coast or in the countryside, and watch reality TV and horror films with my cat, Charlie.
