Mental Health Liaison Specialist Nurse (Essex)
Hi, my name is Jackie. I’m a mental health liaison specialist nurse at Here For You. I joined the team in March 2022. I am a mental health nurse by back ground and I have worked in the NHS for 14 years. I have an MSc in Global Mental Health and worked briefly in Ugandan mental health services.
In my current role, I conduct assessments and warm hand staff to appropriate services for support. I also support with data collection and delivering webinars to health care teams within West Essex.
I have a special interest in the mental wellbeing of health care workers and strategies to support staff in these roles. I enjoy providing psycho-education to staff and de-mystifying mental health, for early intervention and to improve staff access to mental wellbeing services.
I value kindness and compassion, and try to embody these in my day-to-day life and in my working life.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and learning about new cultures and places.
