Principal Psychotherapist (Essex)
Hi, I’m John, Principal Psychotherapist within the Patient & Staff Safety Incident (PSSI) support arm of the Essex Here for You Service. I joined the team in November 2022.
Substantively, I have practised within the NHS for approximately the last 20 years, and in the private healthcare sector and social care for 8 years prior to that. Professionally I am a UKCP Accredited/Registered Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist, Supervisor, and Trainer, & an Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Europe Accredited Consultant/Clinical Supervisor.
I have a keen focus and interest in understanding a person's experience through the lens of Attachment Theory (and Trauma), and work integratively to help people integrate and transform their struggles and symptoms, and strengths, through the practice of EMDR Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy
Outside of work I enjoy music, travelling, sports, and good food.
