Senior Clinician – Psychological Therapist (Hertfordshire)
My name is Mags Aldridge, I am a Senior Clinician working in Here For You Hertfordshire. I started in the team in May 2021 and have enjoyed seeing the service grow and support more and more staff since that time. I have worked in the NHS for 15 years including in substance misuse treatment services, secondary care psychology and primary care Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) teams. I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, also incorporating elements of Compassion Focussed Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to my work with staff members. Working in Here For You is a unique opportunity to develop a service by staff members for staff members. I am proud to be part of a service that aims to support those who may find it difficult to reach out for support and to encourage them to start to think about their own self-care, perhaps for the first time. In my spare time, I like to run a few times a week and make cheesecakes (my favourite pudding!)
